About me

A picture of me
Self-portrait of the journalist at work

With more than seven years experience in the national press I probably ought to know better, but I still believe that journalism can expose the corruption of the powerful, give a voice to the marginalised, and be a force for positive change.

Over the years I have worked in staff and freelance roles for the Daily Star, the Daily Express, MailOnline and the Guardian, in which latter role in particular I have established myself as a finder of scoops and a crafter of clear and concise copy.

Issues that I have focused on in my reporting include free speech, racial and sexual equality, drug law reform, youth violence, racism, poverty, and surveillance. If you have a story that you think needs attention, please do get in touch.
